Suchika tour is a small restaurant but provides ample relaxed sitting for patrons. There were 10 of us and some people ordered for themselves and for the rest of the party they provided us with chefs suggestions for sharing. We took the chef suggestions and were very pleased . The food came out separately with perfect timing . I liked especially how the food was varied, fresh and tasty. Everything from sushi, Maki to hand rolls to other Japanese food. The butterfish and how specialty rolls are out of this world . The butterfish melts in your mouth . Overall it really made the night special , we all had a really good time and the food was scrumptious .

The sushi is overpriced and it's not even anything special. We went with a party of 10 and we were pretty much the only people in the restaurant. Although it is clean and our waiter was great, it was not worth the money we spent on the sake bombs and sushi. I am sure there is somewhere with better sushi in Miami.

5 stars for the cheap [good] drinks on SoBe's Ocean Drive! One of the few places serving affordable non-36oz, buy one, get one, beverages. Our bartender, Louis, was very attentive and was extremely helpful in making us drinks that we were sure to like - also used fresh ingredients (fruits and such). Came around 5pm on a Sunday and barely anyone there. Perfect getaway from the South Beach crowds.

I'm gonna go with two stars here. The rock shrimp I ordered was definitely good, but that's about it. Music was terrible, and in true Miami fashion the service was less than par. I didn't know this is a Jonathan Cheban restaurant either--until well after I sat down with my group--otherwise I never would've patroness the place.

Sushi Couture made for the perfect first meal in South Beach. My group of five ladies dined outside a step above street level. This was a great place to watch the action without being trampled by it. My group ordered 5 different rolls to share including the chopped eel avocado, sweet potato and yellowtail jalapeno roll. They were perfect to split as the drinks kept flowing. The drinks kept flowing so I can't tell you the specifics of the meal, other than that we all enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. Our server and the rest of the staff were friendly, attentive and adorable. This was definitely a fun spot to enjoy some sushi in South Beach.

I'm male, fairly small appetite, lb 150, average build. Food portions are EXTREMELY SMALL and overpriced. 10 tiny rolls for 20$. clearly Gourmet. If you have no appetite or a craving for spending a lot for small portions, the food is good. Sushi at least. Fried rice portions were humiliatingly small as well. Every other asian style restaurant has larger fried rice portions. I can say that with confidence. BUT THE ICING ON THE CAKE, GET READY, If you order a soda for delivery, you will literally get a small, 8 ounce (before ice) coke, in a tiny plastic cup, wrapped and sealed like soy sauce, for FOUR FUCIKNG DOLLARS. Insanity. disgusting. I made a mental note of this place solely to avoid it for all eternity.

Delightful dining. Preferable option for a quick bite and some day drinking on South Beach. Loved the sushi. Made fresh and reasonably priced. Personal favorites are the sweet potato roll and the yellowtail jalapeño roll. Fun drink menu. The margarita fish bowl is awesome if you're looking for an INTENSE buzz. Get two if you're looking to drown yourself in booze haha. Great service overall !

I would go somewhere else. There are just too many amazing spots in Miami to waste your time on subpar spots. This place was so disappointing to me. Maybe it was an off day but I was appalled by the service and not moved by the food. We sat outside and we were 1 of 4 tables seated so they were not busy. It was a Saturday afternoon and they had various employees working but most of them were just standing around people watching. Our server was brand new, which I appreciate him telling us that but then shouldn't he have had the other employees help out? He was forgetting things we ordered, taking forever to deliver simple things like drinks and refilling water, and his communication was terrible. The music was so loud and he was so soft spoken that it was a ton of repeating and yelling. No exaggeration. Speaking of the music... terrible. Just terrible "pop" selections and at one point the same song played three times in a row. We brought it to their attention and they went to the next song but really? I ordered one drink that I really enjoyed, and on my second choice I had to return the drink. It was terrible. The server didn't even say anything about it, just removed the drink and when the bill came I saw he didn't charge me. That was that. Appreciate it but some communication would have been nice. The food was okay. But, for everything else we dealt with in this experience the only thing that would have made up for that would be amazing food and this place just doesn't provide that. In Summary: - The ambiance is nonexistent outside. - The service was horrific. - Drinks were just ok. - Food was just ok. I'm sorry but slapping a "celebrity" on the name of a restaurant doesn't do anything if you don't deliver with amazing service and food.

We came here because one of my friends is a huge Kardashian fan so of course we had to try one of Jonathon Cheban's restaurants. But that's all it is, a restaurant with a famous personnel's name. Sushi quality is mediocre at best. Rolls are small with very little actual fish. Even the hamachi jalapeno had very small pieces of hamachi. This is one of many restaurants lining Ocean Drive so it has optimal location and is a great spot to people watch. But if you're staying in Miami, there's just so much better restaurants to eat at. Plus, service is just horrendous. They don't pay attention to you and they don't know much about the menu if you ask for recommendations. They're too busy people watching.

  • Jennifer A.

Awesome sushi, awesome service. I had a fun time. I highly recommend trying the Spicy Yummy Roll. It was so good that after we finished it, we ordered a second. The only downside of this spot is its located right on Ocean Drive, which is swimming with annoying promoters who are totally shameless. One of them tried to sit down with us while we were eating, we had to ask him to leave (he seemed appalled that we did not want to hear his BS promotion and got pissed), oh well! Shout out to Junior and Guillermo, they were the best servers ever and made our time very enjoyable.

Extremely mediocre and not worth the price, not much to say because it was not the worst or best experience of sushi I've had.

Can I give 0 stars ? The food is bad, the portions is small, the timing is long, only the prices is hight!

For reality TV show fans, this restaurant is owned by Jonathan Cheban - - AKA the friend of the Kardashians that's always on their show. (He was actually sitting behind us when we were dining there) The decor is simple, the service was friendly, and the food came out quickly. However, I wasn't really impressed with the food here. They have an extensive menu, but since I had a hankering for sushi, I ordered the yellowtail jalapeno appetizer, yellowtail jalapeno roll, and spicy yummy roll. Everything tasted fresh, but there wasn't anything that really stood out or made it extraordinary. I also ordered the cotton candy frozen drink and it was tasty and just the right amount of sweetness. They also add a service charge on top of your bill. I would recommend other sushi restaurants in SoBe, but Sushi Couture is probably one of the only few on Ocean Drive.

I'm use to great sushi being from NYC, and Sushi Couture hits a level that I would recommend if you were in the area, but you shouldn't go out of your way to eat here. Again, this is just based on my NYC experience, and if you aren't familiar with NYC, they have some of the best options in the US that I have experienced. The price is right though, so if you are on a budget come by and get $5 tuna roll or a $6 spicy tuna roll. Specialty rolls are average to overpriced though and range $15 to $25. The ambiance is similar to a darker version of Pinkberry (you know the icecream place). The plates are kinda cool though. They are porcelain that looks like oyster shells. Service was pretty good. The waiter was funny, and he was supported by staff that kept my glass full. My friends didn't experience the refills though and expressed discontent. Now the food... it was mediocre. I got a tuna roll, spicy tuna roll, and a lobster tempura roll. All tasted fresh, but nothing blew my mind away. The flavor in the spicy tuna could have been better. The lobster tempura roll was also a little bland, and I felt like I should have tried a different roll. I'll probably look for another sushi place on my next trip to South Beach, but if you want something in the area that is fairly priced then you have the place.

  • Bob Z.

Sucks. Service suck, food is purely average...The attitude is "I don't give a shit" which makes the entire overpriced nickel and dime experience terrible.

    (1)
  • Meghan K.

I would have to agree with all the other reviews. I wanted to like this place. I'd seen posts from Jonathan on Instagram about it and I'm also guilty of watching the Kardashians. I figured why not?! I sat down and wasn't greeted or waited on for a good 10 minutes. Also, considering how busy Ocean Drive was on Saturday, I expected more of a crowd. Maybe that was a bad sign? My husband and I ordered two rolls. One with tuna and jalapeño (had a strange citrus flavor...didn't enjoy it) and the other was the orange dragon (okay but not the best roll I've ever had). Once I told the guy who was helping us how we were in a rush, things became muxh speedier. I had to catch a flight! I had two different sushi meals while visiting south Florida. I wasn't thrilled with either. Guess I'll stick to fresh cooked seafood instead.

Sushi quality and Special Couture pieces are second to none. The flavors and freshness are incredible. Best pieces are Salmon with sautéed tomato and fluke with warm poached quail eggs. Bartender is passionate and creates new delicious fruit flavored sakes. Opportunities for improvement continue to be service, knowledge waitstaff have about dishes is minimal, attentiveness to customers and overall friendliness. For a restaurant with this level of quality they need to present like a more upscale restaurant. For example plastic water cups for water has to go.

    (4)
  • Katterin L.

Though food was delicious, the waiter never gave us our water and took away our drink menu after I told him I haven't decided yet.. The service wasn't as great as I thought. If they didn't automatically give 18% tips I really wouldn't have tip him.

Disguting, the most degusting delivery ever. Everything good to put to garbage directly for $40. Don't even try Can we rate negative stars?

There is only one reason to order from here. And that is to experience the absolute worst sushi purchase you ever made. You might have found a sushi place that was bad but it probably was inexpensive. You probably visited a sushi place that was extremely expensive but it was good. This is a completely different ripoff experience unlike any other you have had and likely will have again. What makes this place so special, so unique, so one of a kind is that they managed to give you smaller portions than you ever had, at the same prices of the best sushi places, while also not being very good! By far the most innovative sushi ripoff experience. You will leave disappointed in every way. And only for that reason... to be able to say you have experienced the worst of the worst.... is why you should try this place. Doing so is essentially like saying "Hey, I want to be robbed!", "Hey, I never experienced what is was like to be cheated on!", or "Hey, I had such a good day that absolutely nothing can bring it down. So let me try my best by ordering here!"

Must try the wings! Yes, it may sound kind of silly to order wings at a sushi place, but it's a super yummy appetizer to kick off the meal with! Sushi is pretty good too - some rolls are better than others like most places. We enjoyed the spicy yummy & orange dragon. Give it a try if you want to sine on ocean drive - def worth the $$$!

If I can give this place 0 stars it deserves it!! I should have known ordering from a place on south of 10th it would suck.... Foul fish the owner "claims it comes fresh from Japan .. Yeah right.. And cold food!! The WORST food and customer service EVER!!!! I politely called the owner and he said to call EAT 24 it was NOT his problem... Bad customer service!!!! Never again!!!!! The owner re delivered food and I fed the homeless.....

  • Food L.

Unsure why it's a three and half star rating. Maybe bc of the prices? A great place for eel and toro lovers. The toro melts in your mouth. The infused strawberry sake and Bruce lee are excellent. Located in the heart of south beach and a great spot to people watch. The sushi rice itself is soft and delicious. Sometime you get the harder rice. I recommend the chopped eel avocado sushi, crispy rice spicy tuna, and the toro selection. Lobster dumplings are a waste of money.

  • Nina T.

The ambience was very modern not like one of those traditional places but the decor was nice. They played some music like the top 40, a little loud but not obnoxious. The sushi was delicious, I got the spicy yummy roll (salmon, yellow tail with avocado, tuna, tempura flakes and spicy mayo on top) the fish tasted fresh and you can tell it's not one of those fish thats been sitting there the entire week. Some of the appetizers were very creative like the Japanese style bbq wing. The service was nice and fast, the food came out quick so it's a nice place to grab a bite if you're in a hurry. If you want some of the exotic fish like sea urchin you should call ahead to check if they have it in stock. Other than that you get what you're paying for, the decor the quality of the food. Just wished the portion was a little more but I would recommend coming here with your family and friends.

Why would you ruin your business reputation by selling extremely small and overpriced portions ? That accompanied by a mediocre service and an imposed service tax made the experience terrible and wouldn't recommend to anyone or comeback.

  • Danny A.

This spot is so good after a lovely day at the beach. The lobster fried rice and sushi rolls are so fresh and yummy. I would definitely come back! Make sure you ask for Jessica aka Pocahontas, she is adorable and really personable. :-)

  • Meghan S.

Over priced for the overall experience, the food was not terrible but really way I felt like I was eating in a cafeteria. The interior is absolute cheese along with waiters in tight yellow shirts. $200 for a lychee martini, small Sapporo, 1 small sushi boat. My advice DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME or MONEY on this absolute DUMP!!!!!

This place is nice, its right on Ocean drive. They have a cocktail bar next to the sushi bar. The menu is very good... as a matter of fact, they served me the best red miso soup I've ever had. I also had some kind of trendy tuna roll... it was very good. There are menu items that are different than any other sushi place. I had a quick meal so I did not experiment with many but I will be back. More importantly I think, the service was excellent. My waiter, Angel, was super friendly and sweet. He took the time to explain the menu items and asked permission beforehand if he could pour my beer (this I appreciate since not everyone knows how to do a good pour), all with a smile. Cookie point Angel :-) thank you.

This Japanese restaurant right on Collins has so many options to choose from- from sashimi, to sushi rolls, to appetizers. Everything was very good and the portions are nice; I recommend to go with 4 people to get a good amount of plates to share... We ordered a variety of sashimi of O-toro, Truffle Fluke, and Salmon Tomato... Good appetizers are the Truffle Edamame, the Salmon with Crispy Rice, and the Lobster Ponzu. The atmosphere gives you the best of both worlds because it is a relaxing restaurant on a busy street so you hear the loud music next door. Definitely recommend this hidden gem despite it's cheap-looking setting, I personally disliked that they advertised their food on a TV

I am a frequent sushi diner, and I'm adding this to my top 10. I agree with the review below, presentation isn't the best... But that shouldn't matter as long as the quality of the fish is good. It's a great spot to check out before you go out on the town. The food is great, the drinks are delicious, and they play good music. my favorites consisted of... Spicy tuna crispy rice Snow crab hand roll Spicy tuna special roll Orange dragon Spicy yummy Shell roll Can you tell I made two trips here in one visit?! There was an appetizer we got that you MUST try... Not sure the name of it. It's spicy tuna with an egg on top. Mind blowing. The drinks are also really good. My favorite was... "Johnny walker" my friend got the cotton candy. It was too sweet for my liking but it's like ice cream. Must check out when in Miami.

Visiting from New York City and stopped here for a late lunch. Guillermo provided us with excellent service and restored my faith in the ability to receive a delicious meal with personable service in South Beach. His recommendations were on point and he was very knowledgeable of the menu and understood the risks of a food allergy.

  • Tiffanney W.

Atmosphere is Kool and relaxing, they clear away empty dishes very fast .. Love that. The wings were a hit , love how you can sit outside and you can see the scenery. Food $ for the popular rolls, but I guess that's everywhere the music was nice and the mist fans were a hit for the outside seating

This place is pretty much your average tourist trap garbage Ocean drive restaurant. I had a bad experience here & the service was pretty slow. My friend ordered a glass of wine and when we received it, it was pretty obvious that there was only about 4 ounces or less in the glass.. We have both worked in bars/restaurants around Miami so we know almost exactly what a 6oz glass of wine should look like. We asked the manager/supervisor or whatever he was politely if he could please pour us the proper amount and explained to him that we both work in the industry, his response was "well if you work in the industry you should know better than to ask that question". RUDE! So, point is, we will never be back there. Ever! Bad service, mediocre food.

    (1)
  • Walid S.

The restaurant is clean and the service is ok, but the sushi is not good at all. I guess the restaurant has to improve in the food. I don't know who gives them too many starts!?

Nothing special, server messed up part of our roll order and said he can't communicate with sushi chefs. Everything was pretty average.. Only thing worth getting was the Lobster taco

  • Isabella B.

I know this place is for people watching, but I didn't expect the staff to be people watching the whole time. The service here was terrible, as was the food. I'm not sure what other reviewers are saying about the food being fresh, but that's not what we saw. Very disappointed for a sushi restaurant so close to the water.

    (1)
  • Sarah B.

I thought the sushi here was pretty good. Everything tasted fresh and tasty, and was nicely prepared. I think this could rival some of the higher end sushi places I've eaten at in NYC (where I live). The service was friendly and quick. And the drinks were incredibly tasty. I thought it interesting that this place is owned by reality tv's Jonathan Cheban. And I probably would have reconsidered eating here had I know that beforehand, as most "celebrity" owned restaurants are pretty terrible in my experience. But this one was done right. I'll be back!

    (4)

Tried the 36oz daiquiri - it was watered down and a rip off for $40. Went down the street to Waldorf towers and had same size drink, tasted great and $25!

  • Karol S.

I am so in love with this place! I was here for a bachelorette party. We were a large group so we got to try almost everything and we were all really impressed. The crowd favorites were the Japanese buffalo wings, truffle edamame, spicy tuna with crispy rice and the yellowtail jalapeno appetizer. My favorite pieces were the salmon with tomato and the tuna tofu. The food reminded me of Sushi Gari or Seki in NYC, two of my favorites. The drinks were amazing. I expected the service to be lax because of the other reviews but our waiter was completely on top of everything even though there were so many of us. Planning to make this a regular date night destination.

    (5)
  • Karen A.

We tried the "World Famous Japanese Buffalo Wings" w/Spicy Garlic Soy Sauce. They were delicious!!! Finger licking good. Two for one drink special Service was excellent, can't say enough. Everyone was soooo attentive and very nice. Even got some club insight from a "local" our server. Definitely coming back before I go home for some more wings!

    (5)
  • Harold H.

Stopped in with friends while there on vacation. I don't eat sushi, but there was plenty there I even loved. I tried their Japanese buffalo wings and they were excellent. I am a hotwing fan, usually buffalo wings. These Garlic Soy and Spicy Garlic Soy were excellent. The Kobe Beef appetizer at the table and the fried rice were also excellent. Great location and sidewalk seating. Great atmosphere. don't avoid if you don't like sushi. This place is outstanding. See you next year.

  • Paulina M.

Idk about this place. Is clean, service is good, Food wasn't memorable. We order the salmon roll, sushi salmon, and mixed tempura. The big hiccup, I asked the waiter to go to the kitchen and specifically ask what vegetables the mixed tempura had. He comes back and tells me a list of vegetables. So, I go no onions and no bell pepper please... I was mostly concern about onions, bell peppers, and eggplant... When the food arrives to our table the mixed tempura had about 15 small pieces which 5 of them were eggplant ggrrr.. The waiter never mention eggplants.. If you went out of your way to ask in the kitchen and I wanted to make sure what vegetables it came with, was for a reason. Idk it feels the server was not trained at all. I could give it another try but I wouldn't go out of my way to visit this place again.

    (3)
  • Chelsea C.

Definitely not the best sushi I've had. Being on ocean drive and so close to the ocean I really had high expectations. The previous yelp reviews were incredibly misleading. The only things I enjoyed here were the Geisha Spritzer and the Rock Shrimp Tempura Roll.

    (3)
  • Dragan A.

Probably the best of the best modern sushi restaurants on South Beach. I suggest to order of the Special Couture Pieces and Special Rolls. You simply have to try it.

    (5)
  • Allyson K.

My friends and I went here while on vacation to South Beach.. We went bc we are huge fans of Jonathan Cheban and the Kardashians. I hate to say this, but the overall restaurant was disappointing. The plating and presentation was average. The service was not very good. The food was ok.

    (2)
  • Tony C.

Great service, but chef did not know how to make a hand roll, served Uni wrong and on top of it they charge an automatic surcharge for chef, bartender and bus boy, but not server. You have to tip extra, which is unheard of! Very expensive for so so sushi!

    (2)
  • Alyssa S.

I wasn't too impressed with this new sushi place. There was much anticipated hype for this place but failed to meet the standard. The venue was smaller than expected, service was fair..but food and presentation not impressive. I feel like I could get the same quality sushi at a supermarket

    (3)
  • Lala D.

You can most definitely tell this place is new. The staffs food and product knowledge wasn't the best. Our waiter was very hesitant when asked about the food taste. As a gluten free vegan, eating out any where is a nightmare. The waiter wasn't very positive when asked about my options as a vegan. However there seemed to be quiet a few vegetarian/vegan options for sushi rolls. However no vegetarian speciality rolls. Spinach, avocado, mushroom, sweet potato to name a few, it's a shame they weren't flavorsome. Like teriyaki sweet potato rolls, sweet chilli avocado, or stir fry mushroom.... To the point it was very bland. The presentation wasn't so "couture" with so many Asian/sushi bars I'd hoped they'd have been more creative.

    (3)
  • Jessica S.

Food was outstanding. Service was great. A friend and I were staying a few hotels down, we were looking for some sushi while we were on vacation. A quick Yelp search confirmed where we would spend our lunch. Sushi was AWESOME. I got the Tuna Pizza, Dragon Roll and Spicy Salmon Roll. I would def recommend this place to all my sushi lovers out there!

    (5)
  • Kitty C.

Great food, but small portion sizes which made the bill expensive. The staff and management were very attentive and provided excellent service to our customizable orders. The restaurant had more of a lunch setting rather than dinner.

    (4)
  • Aaron M.

only a few criticisms, 1 stoned host, 2 apathetic waiter 3 grocery store sushi 4 huge bill

    (2)
  • Alisa A.

This place was highly recommended. We gave it a try and found it extremely disappointing. Too much staff, horrific service (the waiter did not even clear off the menus off the table, appetizers were brought last, everyone got food at different times, etc). We paid $75 for three rolls (one of which was 6 pieces of the supermarket sushi you get). The quality was terrible and everything was flavourless!!! Would not recommend!!
